The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) is a materials research organization in Germany. Our mission is to ensure safety in technology and chemistry. We perform research and testing in materials science, materials engineering and chemistry to improve the safety of products and processes. At BAM we do research that matters. Our work covers a broad array of topics in the focus areas of energy, infrastructure, environment, materials, and analytical sciences.

<span style=" display:block;">The objectives of the F-SIE project, which is funded by the BMFTR, are to increase the number and qualifications of women in engineering, thereby increasing the self-efficacy, initiative, and innovative strength of female engineers and reducing the gender (pay) gap. To this end, women are specifically encouraged to choose a career in engineering and to pursue it to the best of their ability. On the other hand, it contributes to improving the framework conditions for everyday working life and for the successful promotion of women. A mentor and mentee program is being implemented, and workshops are offered for students, doctoral candidates, and young professionals.</span>

Your responsibilities include:

You will be working on the BMBF-funded joint project F-SIE.

  • Support the project management in all project-related tasks
  • Assist in the documentation of the project
  • Organize meetings and workshops

Your qualifications:

  • Master's student in Gender Studies or an engineering discipline
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Very good German skills; both written and spoke
  • English proficiency is required; very good English skills, both written and spoken, are advantageous

You are enrolled at a German university for the period of employment.
