The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) is a materials research organization in Germany. Our mission is to ensure safety in technology and chemistry. We perform research and testing in materials science, materials engineering and chemistry to improve the safety of products and processes. At BAM we do research that matters. Our work covers a broad array of topics in the focus areas of energy, infrastructure, environment, materials, and analytical sciences.

Your responsibilities include:
- Work on a battery project to develop future solid-state batteries
- You can focus on either electrochemical work or NMR analysis
- You will be closely supervised and can use the results as your final thesis. The work is deeply technical in nature and offers a great learning effect
Your qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's students in the field of chemistry, physics or comparable
- Knowledge of NMR spectroscopy is an advantage
- Previous knowledge of instrumental analysis, hardware programming (C++), Python, Linux, diffusion theory and NMR is an advantage
- Experience with data analysis (Python, Matlab etc.) is an advantage
- Manual skills
- Independent and reliable way of working
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics
- Good German and English skills
