Research data are an essential part of all scientific knowledge processes and thus both the basis and the result of research work. Quality-assured research data management promotes the visibility, traceability, reproducibility and validation of research processes and their results.

By sustainably securing and making available research data, scientific work can be accelerated and knowledge gained. This contributes significantly to improved visibility and effectiveness of research. BAM recognises the fundamental importance of research data and its documentation in order to maintain high-quality research and scientific integrity and strives for the highest possible standard in this regard. BAM supports, promotes and appreciates all initiatives by actively involved staff to implement and further develop quality-conscious research data management in line with national and international declarations and recommendations.
