Section Z.9 Research Services

The Research Service section consists of the areas of contract management, third-party funding management, intellectual property rights and patents, as well as IT law, and also supports spin-offs in founding a start-up. The department is the interface between the administration and the scientific departments and supports the scientific colleagues in all phases of project realization.

Our range of tasks includes advising on legal issues that arise in the course of research and development activities, regardless of whether they involve general questions about contract law or IT law. In addition, we provide support in the administrative management of third-party funds on a national and international level in close cooperation with the scientific departments. By providing administrative support for spin-offs, we also make a valuable contribution to knowledge and technology transfer under the guiding principle "Security Creates Markets".
