Access to and participation in science is still not as natural for women and girls everywhere as it should be. Every year on February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science therefore reminds us of the decisive role played by female researchers - in important inventions and in everyday scientific life.
At BAM, female chemists, physicists and engineers research and work together to make technologies and materials safer. We introduce some of them: they talk about their work, why they chose a career in science and what advice they would give to girls and women:
