Our work covers a broad array of topics in the focus areas of energy, infrastructure, environment, materials, and chemistry and process engineering.

We are looking for talented people to join us.

Your responsibilities include:

Innovative screening of metallic high-temperature materials for efficient determination of creep behavior using bending creep tests:

  • Further development of the existing bending creep device
  • Conducting bending creep tests on metallic high-temperature materials for accelerated characterization of creep behavior
  • Conducting uniaxial creep tests (tension, compression) and comparing the results
  • Characterization of the microstructure–property relationship using optical microscopy, SEM and EBSD
  • Correlation of microstructure and creep behavior
  • Publication of the results

Your qualifications:

  • Completed PhD
  • In-depth knowledge of the mechanical behavior and microstructure of metals and their deformation mechanisms at high temperature
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in mechanical testing of high-temperature materials, including various strain measurement methods
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in microstructural characterization using light and electron microscopy (SEM, EBSD)
  • Knowledge of the finite element method is an advantage
