In the material sciences, a wide variety of data is generated. Intelligent digital infrastructures are necessary for efficient and sustainable use. Together with partner institutes, BAM is researching how materials data can be systematised and standardised to enable broad application and cross-cutting exchange in and with the various scientific disciplines.

The development and expansion of digital data infrastructures is firmly integrated in numerous research projects in our subject areas. The projects and initiatives mentioned here show selected, overarching activities.
