Product Contact Points
Product contact points were established in Member States to improve the free movement of goods within the European Union. These should make access to national markets easier for economic operators from other Member States. Their main task is to provide information about products for which no unified EU-wide regulations have yet been agreed.
In Germany, the tasks of the product contact points are undertaken by the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung, BLE) on behalf of the agricultural and fisheries sector and for commodities, and by the BAM for all other products.
