Quality in Testing
Within BAM, the Quality in Testing section coordinates , the BAM management system and BAM certification and contributes to standardisation activities. We are responsible for the effective and efficient implementation of relevant international standards for conformity assessment (ISO/IEC 17000 series) within BAM. It also hosts the central management body for quality management and the BAM Certification Body (BZS), which conducts certifications both within the mandatory and voluntary area.

Main activities
- Introduction, implementation and improvement of a generally applicable quality management system within BAM (ISO/IEC 17025,ISOI Guide 34, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17065, ISO 9001, etc.)
- Cooperation on committees of national and international testing organisations (e.g. EUROLAB-Deutschland, EURACHEM)
- BAM Certification Body (BZS)

- Examination and approval of BAM reference materials
- EPTIS - central coordination of the international information system on proficiency testing schemes
