The task of the Radiological Methods division is to develop, apply, validate and certify radiological methods that employ X-ray, gamma and terahertz-range radiation (THz radiation). To this end, we have developed new two-dimensional and three-dimensional digital measurement and testing methods (computed laminography, tomosynthesis and computed tomography) for industrial and security applications.

The focus is on determining the reliability and practical limits of materials and components. These activities enable us to contribute to the safety of machinery and products in all industrial segments, to law enforcement, and to the disposal of nuclear waste. Numerically calculated simulations are used to support and manage laboratory developments.
