The research done by the Structure Analysis division focuses on the relationship between structure and the properties of a variety of materials. The aim is to use different analytical methods to optimise the potential applications of materials and substances.

Our selection of methods includes among others, X-ray diffraction and scattering along with physical separation methods such as liquid chromatography and gas adsorption to detect porosity and surface properties. One focus of our research is the in situ investigation of crystallisation processes and syntheses in complex sample environments using synchrotron methods.
