Dangerous Goods Packagings
The Dangerous Goods Packagings division is the competent authority for the testing, approval and quality assurance of the packaging of dangerous goods in Germany.
We approve competent bodies for testing, inspection and monitoring, organise exchanges of findings, and encourage the consistent application of regulations. We advise authorities and industry in the field of dangerous goods logistics for packaged dangerous goods, work actively at a national and international level on the continued development of dangerous goods legislation and standardisation, and engage in research in the field of safety engineering.
We provide authorities and industry with information, for example through the GEFAHRGUT information system database, the BAM List (tank requirements) and the TES information portal.
