On 16th and 17th of January 2020 the Guided Waves for Structural Health Monitoring (GW4SHM) kick-off meeting took place at BAM, Berlin, Germany. Representatives of all beneficiaries and partner organisations met in Berlin to initiate the project and discuss the first steps. Main points of the discussion were:

• Preparation of the Consortium Agreement
• Budget planning
• Recruitment of PhD students
  

The meeting was also used for initiating technical discussions and collaborations between the various participating institutes and industrial partners. All consortium members enjoyed the open and creative atmosphere.
