Using advanced materials safely

At our AdvancedMaterials@BAM competence center, we work with national and international partners from research and industry to develop and validate innovative advanced materials, including nanomaterials, functional materials, and intelligent material systems. Our goal is to synthesize these materials reliably, reproducibly, and safely, characterize them, and transfer them into industrial processes.
Against the backdrop of global transformation processes such as the energy transition, digitalization, and the shift toward sustainable mobility, high-performance materials are a key driver of innovation. They enable new product solutions and more efficient manufacturing technologies, and strengthen Germany's competitiveness as an industrial location.

With our scientific and technical expertise, we lay the foundation for the safe use of new materials and support companies in bringing innovations to market faster.
