One of the central elements in the calibration laboratory is the hydraulically amplified force reference standard. This facility is designed for uniaxial loads (tension and compression) from 200 N to 5 MN with a measurement uncertainty of 0.02 %. Another dead weight force reference standard facility covers the lower force range from 10 N to 2 kN with a measurement uncertainty of 0.01 %.

Accredited calibrations of the quantity force are carried out according to DIN EN ISO 376 or DKD-R 3-3. For very high compressive forces up to 21 MN, a specially developed build-up system, consisting of up to 5 individual transducers of 5 MN each including hydraulic compensation cylinders, is available.
