What a match: University of Birmingham and BAM to continue collaboration

The return visit followed last year’s signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a joint exchange in Birmingham. BAM received a delegation from the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, School of Chemistry of the University of Birmingham to discuss concrete opportunities for collaboration. Practical insights were also provided during the obligatory laboratory tours both in Adlershof and at the headquarters.

Projects of both institutes were presented in short ‘matchmaking’ pitches and connecting factors were discussed in subsequent discussion rounds. Particular interest could be found in the fields of analytical chemistry and surface analytics, areas in which BAM and the University of Birmingham can mutually benefit from one another. However, there will also be a further exchange on the topics of nanotechnology, energy and additive manufacturing.
