BAM and the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopemberare (ITS) have extended their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for another five years. The joint MoU provides, among other things, a platform for visiting guests to exchange information on research topics and thus benefit from mutual expertise. For this reason, visiting Indonesian scientists are regular guests of the Corrosion and Corrosion Protection Division. In return, BAM scientists travel to Indonesia and enrich ITS student discussion groups, as well as lectures concerning topics such as material issues in plant construction and the use of renewable energies. Currently, there is an Indonesian doctoral student at BAM, investigating corrosion protection measures in geothermal plants.
