Senior Scientist in Natural Sciences (m/f/d)
in Chemistry, Mineralogy, Materials Science

Salary group E 14 TVöD
Permanent contract
Full-time / suitable as part-time employment

Your responsibilities include:

- Research and development in the field of solid-state NMR
- Internal and external testing activities
- Planning and supervision of research in the field of structural analysis
- Supervision of interdisciplinary projects
- Development of research collaboration and further development of our international network in structural analysis
- Development of own research topics and the acquisition and management of third-party funded research projects
- Supervision of young scientists
- Presentation of results at meetings and relevant conferences, alongside significant publication activities in international peer-reviewed journals.

Your qualifications:

- Outstanding university degree (Master’s / Diploma) specializing in Chemistry, Mineralogy,
Materials Science or a comparable subject area
- Outstanding academic achievements in previous studies and research.
- Several years of post-doctoral (or equivalent) experience in a relevant field, preferably outside of Germany.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field of solid-state NMR
- Basic knowledge of analytics
- Programming knowledge is required
- Proven experience with the acquisition and management of R & D projects and project management of research projects
- Experience in supervising students at the PhD, Master, and Bachelor levels
- Strong publication and lecturing activities in relevant research areas
- Experience in supervising students at the PhD, Master, and Bachelor levels
- Excellent oral and written skills in German and English
