In situ studies of Jarosite minerals, from Melbourne to Mars
Dr Helen Brand from ANSTO, AUS
Studies of Jarosites and other hydrated minerals are shedding light on the geological evolution of Mars, help us protect endangered coastlines and making industrial processing more efficient. Here we will talk about jarosite formation and how to study it using combination of in situ synchrotron SAXS and powder diffraction.
These lectures are free and can be attended via Zoom by to up to 100 attendees.
The lectures will be recorded as well, and (with permission of the presenter) will be made available online afterwards for a broader educational reach.
