This training workshop aims to provide basic and cutting-edge knowledge on the latest development of instrumentation, principles, automation, signal processing, problem-solving techniques and case studies across multiple NDT&E-CE’s disciplines. The courses take place at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) in Berlin, Germany. BAM provides a professional and independent environment allowing participants to learn the theory and to get hands on experience on state of the art equipment and methods.
Theoretical Background and Practical Application
The course offers a balanced mix of theory and practice, covering Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Ultrasonics, Impact Echo, Infrared, and Moisture Measurement techniques. Through guided hands-on exercises and real-world examples, participants develop a solid understanding of the principles and effective use of NDT&E methods.
Investigation Planning and Execution
Participants will learn how to plan and carry out data collection effectively, from project preparation and coordination to data collection and quality control. The course includes extensive practical training using the latest techniques and equipment.
Advanced Data Processing
This module covers the complete data processing workflow, from acquisition and validation to interpretation and reporting. Emphasis is placed on high-quality data, integrating results from multiple techniques, and present findings to support informed engineering decisions. Participants gain practical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights for real world applications. Course participants will get extended hands-on training on BAM´s large stock of reference specimens in the laboratory and at the outdoor test site.
