The 8th Graduate Student Symposium on Molecular Imprinting will bring together more than 50 PhD students from all over the world working in the area of molecular imprinting. While being mainly devoted to the scientific interaction of PhD students, who will present 31 short talks and 21 posters on the diverse topics of their own research within the field of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs), the two days will be flanked by four plenary lectures on

  • MIP Morphologies, Patterning and Functionalization (Marloes Peeters, Newcastle University)
  • Fundamentals of MIP-based Microextraction Techniques (Antonio Martín-Esteban, INIA, Spain)
  • Polymer-Nucleic Acid Hybrids: Imparting Bio-recognition into MIPs (Nicholas Turner, De Montfort University, Leicester) and
  • Computational Studies in Molecular Imprinting: Modelling MIPs and Targets (Zeynep Altintas, Technical University of Berlin).
