Dangerous goods classification of firework articles

The following provision does apply to firework articles with the UN-numbers (classification codes) 0333 (1.1G), 0334 (1.2G), 0335 (1.3G), 0336 (1.4G), 0337 (1.4S):

"The classification code as mentioned in Column (3b) of Table A of Chapter 3.2 shall be used only with the approval of the competent authority of a Contracting Party to ADR prior to carriage."

(BAM Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing is a 'competent authority' in the meaning mentioned above.)

The approval takes the form of a certification by BAM, the annexes contain the requested articles in tabulary form. The application of the approval is carried out by a formless application letter addressed to BAM and an enclosed filled form containing relevant specifications for estimation of usage of the above mentioned classification codes.
