Pressure receptacles

The following documents contain descriptions of procedures, approvals and specifications concerning pressure receptacles as announced by the German Federal Institute of Materials Research and Testing (BAM) as the competent authority.

UN-pressure receptacles

The procedure described in the following is beeing applied in Germany for the approval of UN-pressure receptacles for multi-modal transport.

In agreement with the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS) national recognized technical codes (Accepted Technical Regulations ATRs):

ATRs concerning pressure receptacles in accordance with RID/ADR 6.2.5

These technical codes are published in the Official Gazette of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development “Verkehrsblatt” in an Englisch and a German version and have been submitted to the competent OTIF and UN ECE Secretariats. For their application, see…

Intervals of periodic inspection for composite pressure receptacles

The following documents are related to the procedure for the determination of the interval of periodic inspection for composite pressure receptacles in accordance with the German RSEB (2011) 4-4.4 and the German GGVSEB based on RID/ADR 4.1.4.1 P 200 (9) and in accordance with §6(5) of the German GGVSee based on the IMDG-Code 4.1.4.1 P 200 (2) d. This procedure has been agreed on by the competent authorities - ZLS representing the German Federal Laender and BAM representing the German Federal Republic. The BAM has been appointed as the contact authority in the field of these technical decisions.
