Explosion chamber
Tests on dangerous materials (explosives, explosive materials from the chemical industry, organic peroxides, self-decomposing materials and ammonium nitrate containing preparations) investigate their capability of conveying an induced detonation. In the explosion chamber detonation tests are used to test for example explosive production precursor-products or the detonation capability of fertilisers.
Detonation tests are performed in which the steel pipes are placed on proof plates and/or cylinders which are collected and assessed at the end of the tests. Tests of up to 8 kg TNT equivalent can be performed in the explosion chamber.
