Oxygen test facility
The oxygen test equipment is used for investigating and assessing fire hazards in plants, components and materials under high pressure flowing oxygen in real-life industry-related conditions.
Even a minor enrichment in oxygen content compared to the normal 21 % in air causes an increase in combustion velocity and burning temperature as well as a reduction in ignition temperature of nonmetallic materials.
Furthermore, the test equipment allows to investigate the influence of metallic and nonmetallic particles on the flammability of components. In addition, ignition sensitivity tests to high pressure oxygen surges can be performed on fittings and components.
