Explosion-pressure resistant test tank
foto gallery
As the responsible authority to ensure and enhance safety of storage, loading and transport containments for dangerous goods in tanks and pressure vessels, BAM evaluates and assesses transport and storage tanks for their explosion-pressure resistance. The tanks must resist the explosion of dangerous mixtures which may occur during filling and emptying.
BAM uses its special test tank to examine the effect of explosions at different internal pressures, tank volumes and tank installations and determines the parameters of explosion processes, simulates the process by real transport tanks or tank components and optimises tank structures.
