For high technology and engineering applications, modern materials and components in design and assembly may often be applied close to their upper tolerance limits in order to achieve their maximum performance limit. In order to fulfill such massive expectations, quality control and assurance and Non-destructive Testing methods are becoming increasingly important for detecting even minor defects material analysis.
These requirements can be met by non-contacting scanning in immersion technique. Division VIII.4 has put several systems of various size in service. They are all equipped with manipulator mechanisms with a maximum of seven degrees of freedom. They have extensive possibilities to carry out ultrasound testing such as A, B, C, D, TD, frequency C and volume scans.
Measurements of up to 100 MHz are possible.
