Reliability of Testing Systems

The working group has been accredited by the German Accreditation Council (DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, Code no. D-PL-11075-08-00 and Code no. DKD-K-53201.

Key activities

Verification and calibration of materials testing machines (enlarged picture)

Development and provision of reference procedures for the assessment of mechanical testing procedures
Evaluation of the reliability and verification of prototypes of mechanical testing facilities
Verification and calibration of ultra-high force equipment up to 36 MN
Provision of force reference standards up to 5 MN
Providing instrumented indentation test
Contribution to national and international standardization and technical regulations
Providing advice and information on the improvement of reliability in mechanical testing to companies, laboratories and public authorities
Validation of mechanical and micro-mechanical testing procedures, and estimation of uncertainties in testing
Calibration of measurement equipment; traceability of test results to accepted reference standards (DKD-K-53201)
