Universal large-scale test rig
The investigation and assessment of the safety, reliability and durability of building materials, structural components and structures with regard to climatic, corrosive, complex and fire impact.
Our field of activity ranges from building materials and buildings and structures, including non-destructive testing and monitoring in these fields, to fire engineering. The department advises Federal Ministries, industry - in particular the construction industry, contractors and the construction-related chemical industry - as well as national and international organisations and research institutes in the area of buildings and structures.
The department specialises in the investigation of the long-term behaviour of building materials, components and structures and their ability to resist complex impacts and includes the development of appropriate testing and assessment methods
