SAFEINFRA: Risk and Safety of Infrastructures and Wind Turbines

The SAFEINFRA research group contributes to the BAM objective “Safety in Technology and Chemistry” in the field of risk and safety of infrastructures. Our working foci comprise risk analysis, reliability analysis and structural integrity management in the whole life cycle of infrastructures and wind turbines. We aim at the explication of technological knowledge relevant for decision making in business economics and macroeconomics.

Projects

Reliability based Condition Assessment for Bridges utilizing Inspection and Maintenance Data (Contract research for the German Federal Highway Authority), project period: 08/2011 – 07/2012

IRISOW - Integrated Risk Reduction System for Offshore Wind Turbines (Joint industrial research cooperation with offshore wind industry partners), project period: 07/2010 - 03/2012

RiMiWARN - Risk Minimisation for Infrastructures (BAM Innovation Project), project period: 05/2010 – 10/2013
