Dealing with various concrete technology problems, the working group has two main focuses. The first one is the valuation of new concrete raw materials (e.g. cement, additive, admixtures) and their application in new mix designs, paying special attention to rheology of cementitios systems. The second main focus is concrete maintenance and repair. Here, the new mix designs, special fields of applications as well as influences of application conditions are examined.

Advisory boards and consulting activities

• Collaboration in standardisation boards within the nationel Standards Committee in Civil Engineering (NABau) and the European Committee for Standardization (CEN/TC104/SC8)
• Collaborative work at national regulations with the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs (BMVBS), the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt), and the Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute (BAW)
