Repair mortar on substrate (enlarged picture)
In conjunction with questions related to concrete technology, we focus on two core areas. The first one is the valuation of new concrete raw materials (e.g. cement, additive, admixtures) and their application in new mix designs, putting special emphasis on rheology of cementitious systems. The second main focus is concrete maintenance and repair. Here new mix designs, special fields of applications as well as influences of application conditions are examined.
MICROCON:
Optimisation of cementitious building materials by addition of microfillers
UNACON: Multifunctional Nano-Additions for Innovative high-performance concrete stones
SeCCoPa: Self-cooling concrete pavers for mitigation of the urban heat island effect
Noice-reducing pavement: Development of improved pavement design regarding noise emissions from concrete stones
SPIN: Spearhead Network for Innovative, Clean and safe cement & concrete technologies
LightSHIP: Lightweight Construction; Scientific Cooperation for Housing with Innovative Panel Technology
MODINSYS:
Development of a modular corrective concrete systems for structural and
hydraulic engineering, as well as for drinking and waste water systems
BEGLARES: Development of concrete supplementary materials and maintenance techniques for the restoration of concrete glazings of the 20th Century
