Our competence

IBC, droptest

Our major task is the issuing of type approvals for packagings, including intermediate bulk containers and large packagings for the transport of dangerous goods. We give advice on the correct application of legal provisions. Packaging type approvals issued by BAM are recognised worldwide.

Our tasks

Validation of test reports
Approval of design types (German/English)
Expertises and official statements on damages, exemption rules and on adaptations to progress of science and development
Research work on related issues

Consultation services

Government consultancy in connection with the regulatory revision processes and of industry concerned with the application and interpretation of the regulations
Consultancy of manufacturers and industry federations on special agreements
Consultancy to dispatchers, fillers and shippers with respect to the use of dangerous goods packagings
