Working group

Legislation in Chemical Safety Engineering

The working group provides technical evaluation and support for legislation development. Our area of expertise is chemical safety engineering.

We focus on physical-chemical hazards in the areas:

We impart the experience and competence of Department 2 particularly through

We attend to questions relating to specific substance groups in close cooperation with colleagues of all divisions of Department 2 and of Division 3 Chemical Physics and Explosion Protection of the PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt).

The following figure displays the main areas of legislation and regulations for which physical-chemical hazards are important, illustrates important interfaces and shows some of the committees in which the working group is participating actively.
