Working group
About 80% of industrial dusts are
combustible. This percentage explains why dust fires and dust explosions occur
in almost each industry as well as on transport, during the handling or the
storage of powders. The determination of the safety characteristics of
combustible dusts and the subsequent application of measures to prevent dust
explosions in industrial plants help to provide safety to men, real values and
the environment.
To ensure this the working group focuses on the following tasks:
The working group provides measurement equipment and techniques to determine the following physicochemical properties of substances as well as the safety characteristics according to VDI guideline 2263:
