Division 1.5
Visualisation of an Orbitrap system with potential applications
Molecular medicine, biochemistry and biotechnology are key technologies of the 21st century. With the classical borders between basic and product-specific research constantly vanishing, a multitude of novel products emerges. The pace and the dimension of the respective economic growth however depend on the public acceptance of the products and legal regulations. Work in the Division 1.5 is thus especially concerned with issues of normative harmonization and supports attempts to method validation and the traceability and comparability of results by development of reference materials and methods.
