Structure Analysis; Polymer Analysis

The expertise of the division focusses on the application and the development of methods for characterisation of reference materials, on the characterization of polymers and polymer standards by chromatographic and spectrometic methods, and for the development of standards and norms. The division is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by the German Accreditation System for Testing (Deutsches Akkreditierungssystem Prüfwesen, DAP).

• Characterisation of reference materials (glases, ceramics, carbon coatings, disperse solid states)
• Development of certified reference materials (CRM) for the gas adsorption and Hg porosimetry
• Characterization of polymers and polymer standards with chromatographic and spectroscopic methods and coupling techniques
• Collaboration in standardisation committees (DIN AA 11.42.08 and ISO TC24)
• Organisation of round robin tests and interlaboratory testings for analysing phases with X-ray methods, for the metrological qualification of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), and for pore size analysis
• Measurement service: customer specific analyses, experts' reports
• Supervision of diploma theses and dissertations
