Explosion pit
When testing dangerous materials (explosives, explosive materials from the chemical industry, organic peroxides, self-decomposing materials and ammonium nitrate containing preparations), their capability of conveying an induced detonation is investigated.
In the explosion pit the detonation capability of materials is tested to enable classification according to the dangerous goods regulations and for the allocation of one of the materials groups A, B or C according to the explosive law. Based on a TNT equivalent, a maximum 5 kg can be tested.
