Reaction calorimeter RC1


The reaction calorimeter RC1 is used when chemical reactions are to be examined under process conditions (batch and semi batch mode, respectively) on the bench scale during normal operation. The RC1 can be operated in the isotherm or isoperibol mode. Changes of the experimental parameters are possible, e.g. feed rate, process temperature, pressure or type and frequency of the stirrer. Furthermore deviations from the normal process can be simulated, like breakdown of the stirrer, wrong feed rate or wrong concentration. Based on these investigations, possible hazards can be identified.
